The wind blows refreshingly over my body as I sit before a stream. I voice booms from behind and I turn to see an old women. She points her shaking finger at me and cries out: Foolish man I know what you want. I look to here kindly and smile. "Yes I know you do". She pauses and says:" you know who I am do you." peering deeply into my eyes. "Yes, you are Gia, Mother of Earth."

She says, "And you do not fear me" her eyes burn into me. "You should, you wish to tear down my mountain!" I do not waiver as I softly say "Yes." Then I look beneath the water and watch a pebble roll along the bottom pushed by the currents.

She ponders a few seconds and say’s why would you wish to move my mountain?" I look intently at the mountain " It blocks the Horizon, and My Love is on the other side."

She laughs then saying" Your are a foolish mortal what would I have to fear from you? What is it you could possibly do to bring down my mountain. Still looking into the water I see a few more pebbles being pushed along by the current. I slight smile crosses my lips drawing her attention to what I see in the water. When she looks at me as she realizes what I am about to say I look at her and I reply "Wait."

Then softly and sadly she say to me."Oh you poor soul, When my mountain is worn down and she comes over the horizon to you. What make you think that you could stop her from going over the next horizon?

I then look up to Mother Gia and smile deeply, "Just as you can’t save your mountain for moving I can not stop her from crossing over the next horizon nor would I choose to try."

"Then you are doomed for sadness foolish mortal," she says.

My eyes glow with joy as I following the stream downward and see it merge into another to become one. I look outward and watch it flow over the next horizon. I say, "As the stream flows and merges so shall we. Together side by side we shall cross the next horizon."

She smiles at me then looks up to the heavens and whispers, "Your children are learning," then she giggles and say’s" who am I to stand in the way," waving her arms in the air she vanishes, leaving behind a gift.

I smile and look up as the Rain comes.
